gay-ebooks.com.au and lesbian-ebooks.com.au offer free gay and lesbian ebooks from Australian authors. Simple as that. Not tried any of their stuff, but it’s not going to cost you anything but time to try them, right?
Songs you know by heart, by Dr No shouldn’t work at all. The POV character, David, is a jaded, bored man who gets off on rough sex and treats people quite appallingly. The man who breaks into his tired life, Jazz, is a mugger who forces David to blow him after stealing his wallet. Sounds unappealing? You’d be wrong. This is fabulous stuff, with intriguing characterisation and plot, kinky but well-written and not gratuitous sex, and leaves the reader feeling satisfied and with a sense of rightness. A brilliant gem of a story.

Sleeping by the same author is shorter, but again with the theme of apparently mismatched souls finding comfort in each other. Rey works in a bartender and his duties even include the occasional stint in drag. Oliver Lovely works in a free clinic in a rough area of town, even though he could clearly do so much better. Slash happens. Not much of a story, but it still hits the spot with some great characterisation and some ultra funny lines. If this author appears anywhere again, mug her and make her write more, will you please? The world needs more of this Dr No.

The Slave Breakers by maculategiraffe is slave fic. Ultra long, gripping, sensual, guiltily pleasing and kinky, if you like this kind of thing, you’ll wallow happily in this generous pool of free writing. Will eat your brain
